CM Murad directs for inquiry into administration of ‘wrong injection’ to Karachi girl

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday took notice of administration of ‘wrong injection’ by ‘untrained nursing staff’ at Darul Sehat Hospital in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, ARY News reported.

The Sindh chief minister has directed the secretary health about inquiry into the incident.

“The responsible person should be determined,” he said.

Murad directed to submit him the report after complete inquiry.

A nine-month-old girl was paralysed allegedly after being administered ‘wrong injection’ by ‘untrained nursing staff’ at Darul Sehat Hospital situated in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Sunday.

The sorrowful incident was reported from Darul Sehat Hospital where alleged negligence of hospital staff has paralysed the minor girl who was given ‘wrong injection’.

Father of the girl, Qaiser, alleged that her daughter, Nishwa, was paralysed due to ‘wrong injection’ given to her by the ‘untrained nursing staff’.

Qaiser said that he brought his twin daughters to the hospital for treatment of diarrhoea. He added her daughters were injected three drips on different timings. The father said that condition of one of his daughters Nishwa was worsened just after the family prepared to leave for home.
