FAISALABAD: A woman’s tongue was reportedly slit by her husband after a domestic quarrel between them escalated, ARY News reported on Friday.
The woman, identified as Nasreen, was rushed to the hospital by her relatives, where she is said to be out of danger.
The shocking incident of alleged domestic violence took place in Thana Sadr area of Faisalabad.
Hospital has not commented on the severity of the injuries she received, however, it did confirm that the woman’s tongue was cut.

The police have arrested the accused, identified as Jehangir. The woman’s relatives claim Jehangir had attempted to kill her after an argument broke out between them.
Earlier this week, a woman in Lahore was allegedly subjected to vicious torture by her husband who had also shaved her head as she refused to dance in front of his friends.
The affected woman, who identified herself as Asma Aziz, alleged in a video message, that her husband Mian Faisal along with his companions beat her with iron pipes, shaved her head, and threatened to strangle her when she denied dancing in front of them.
