ISLAMABAD: Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman on Friday met with the Finance Minister Asad Umar and discussed different development schemes for the GB.
According to a statement released from the ministry, GB CM Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman apprised the finance minister about the different development schemes and also shared with him the financial requirements in different areas.
During the meeting they both expressed agreement that there was great potential for development in the hydro-energy and tourism sector, reads the statement.
The chief minister said that steps are being taken to develop the tourism sector in GB. On the occasion, the finance minister assured Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman full support for various schemes particularly in hydro-energy and tourism sector.
