KP Gov't to install access control system at sensitive buildings in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to install access control system at sensitive buildings in the provincial capital – ARY News reports.

According to the spokesperson of KP Police, KP Government decided to install access control system at the Supreme Court (SC) Peshawar Registry, High Court, Judicial Complex, KP Civil Secretariat, Central Jail and the KP Assembly.

The decision is made in the wake of Islamabad Court Attack, in which 11 people were killed, while 30 others were injured by unknown terrorists on March 3.

The system will be comprising of biometric machines and CCTV cameras and will operate under the command and control system.

The spokesperson further told installation of the access control system is to insure the security of sensitive buildings.
