Petrol prices increased by Rs 2 per litre

ISLAMABAD: The government on Wednesday revised petroleum prices for the month of December and increased the price of petrol by Rs. 2 per litre.

Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, while addressing a news conference, said that the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil have been kept unchanged.

He said that petrol prices have been increased by two rupees per liter, and price of high speed diesel has been increased by 2.70 rupees per liter.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory had recommended to increase the price of petrol by Rs 4.01 per litre, and the price of the price of high speed diesel by Rs 5.41 rupees per liter.

Ishaq Dar said the prices have been increased by seven months of stability and the government will bear the addition burden of over four billion rupees.
