MQM rally to express solidarity with armed forces today

KARACHI: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) will take out a rally today (Sunday) to express solidarity with armed forces and back the operation against the Taliban, ARY News reported on Sunday.

The rally will be taken out at Shahrah-e-Quaideen from 3pm, while its all arrangements have been completed. Under the security measures, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, Numaish Chowrangi, Liberty Chowk, and other adjoining roads will be closed for traffic.                                                           

MQM Rabita (Coordination) Committee members inspected the site and issued necessary instruction to the workers.                                                          

MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said rally will be a public referendum against Taliban and in support of armed forces. He said army operation should be launched against those responsible for killing thousands of people.                                                                                                                   

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed the people to make rally a success. Pakistan Awami Tehreek led by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and other political parties also announced their support for the public rally.
