According to details, a part of the restaurant’s roof came crashing down due to which a passerby lost his life whereas four labourers sustained injuries.
The victims were shifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Zone, speaking with ARY News, said that the incident took place when construction work was being done on the roof.
The commissioner claimed that restaurant owners had not informed the city administration about the construction work taking place in the area.
He added that action will be taken against the owners of the eatery.
