According to details, Multan-bound Mehar Express rammed into a car at a railway crossing in Attock’s Hattar area leaving three people in the car dead on the spot.
Three others were also injured in the incident.
Sources said that the incident took place as the gate was not closed when the train has to pass through the railway crossing, which was resulted in the fatal mishap.
The watchman of the railway crossing was also absent from his duty at the time of the accident.
The wounded persons were shifted to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
