PESHAWAR: An Army official was killed in an attack on a military vehicle near Peshawar, after dialogue with militants suffered deadlock, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
According to a statement of ISPR, Major Jahanzeb was martyred in an attack on a vehicle of security forces.
The incident took place near Frontier Region Peshawar close to the area bordering Afghanistan.
The Army official suffered bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries, the military's media wing said.
Three attackers were also killed in the shootout, the statement further said.
