Speaking at a presser, Nusrat said that officials from intelligence agencies are making the party leaders change their loyalties by the help of their positions.

“We will present the evidences we have in this regard if the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif meets us,” he added.

“The facts should not be distorted. 6,000 activists have been arrested whereas raids have been carried out against the party since 2013,” Nusrat said.

He asked whether if any police encounters take place during the raids against the party workers.

The MQM leader said that no action is taken against those who do not accept the constitution and think of Taliban as martyrs.

Nusrat claimed that death threats are being given to the party activists from Karachi’s area of Khayaban-e-Sahar. “We will remain patient despite all that is happening”, he added.
