According to details, the blast took place at a coal mine which was located at Hangu’s area of Doli, located at the Orakzai Agency. Due to the blast, two miners were killed while the whereabouts of eleven others was not known.
Rescue officials were dispatched to the area to provide the injured with medical assistance and to carry out relief operations. Six workers were recovered from the coal mine in an injured state. Rescue operations were underway to locate and save other trapped miners as well.
Last month, another deadly blast had taken place at a coal mine in Hangu which had claimed the lives of seven miners and injured others.
