Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take the JUI-F chief into confidence over the women protection bill recently passed by the Punjab Assembly, sources said.
Fazlur Rehman, who has been an ally of the ruling PML-N, had recently lambasted the women protection bill calling the legislation against the teachings of Islam.
Speaking at a party gathering in Quetta he had said that after passage of the bill now the family roles have changed and ” the wife has become a husband and husband a wife.”
He said that according to this bill, male members of a family could not hold a wife or a daughter accountable for any wrongdoing as it will be violation of the law.
