The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$20,810.1 million on 01 January 2016.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

883. Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$  15,883.4  million
884. Net foreign reserves held by banks :    US$    4,926.7  million

• Total liquid foreign reserves                 :    US$  20,810.1  million

During the week ending 01 January 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$289 million to US$15,883 million, compared to US$16,172 million in the previous week.
