Radio Pakistan reported that 100,000 interest free loans of more than Rs. 2 billion have been distributed to the poorest of the poor in 44 under developed districts under the scheme.

Twenty five thousand youngsters were trained under PM’s Youth Skill Development Programme in Phase-I whereas another 25000 are undergoing training in the second round of the programme.

It was also stated that the fees of around 100,000 students belonging from less developed areas have been paid or reimbursed under the Fee Reimbursement Scheme since it was launched in 2013.

“Paid internship scheme will be offered to fresh university students in order to enhance their employability in the market”, officials said.
