Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) arrested the driver and taken his vehicle in custody.
An Indian national rammed his jeep into the gate at Indian side of Wagah border, damaging the gate and also partly hit the gate on Pakistani side.
Pakistan Rangers have ordered inquiry of the incident that reportedly took place at 3:00 am midnight. Pakistani border officials have also contacted with Indian border authorities over the incident.
The Wagah border is the only road crossing between Lahore in Pakistan and Amritsar in India.
