PTI has fielded Abdul Aleem Khan for the much-anticipated by-poll in the Lahore constituency.
Ameer of JI’s Lahore chapter, Mian Maqsood, said his party would also extend its support to PTI in PP-147 by-polls.
He said his party would jointly contest polls with the PTI.
Sources informed that both the parties had agreed on seat adjustment formula in the local government elections.
A delegation of PTI led by Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar had a meeting with Mian Maqsood of JI and urged for his party’s support in NA-122 against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Following the meeting, JI announced its support for the PTI a day after consulting with other party members.
