According to details, police arrested three ‘extortionists’ from Khawaja Ajmair Nagri area, who used to demand money from doctors in the name of ‘Gang War’.
DIG Feroze Shah said the amount collected through extortion was sent to South Africa, while the arrested suspects included a target killer.
He said extortionists in Karachi use the name of banned outfits and Gang War for extorting money from citizens.
Police claimed that the arrested suspects belong to a political party. They said a leader of the gang is still in South Africa.
