LAHORE: Renowned writer and dramatist, Asgher Nadeem Syed was injured in a firing incident here on Tuesday – ARY News reports.
According to details, unknown assailants fired at the vehicle of Asgher Nadeem Syed near Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital while he was himself driving. As a result, Asgher got injured and was shifted to a hospital.
Meanwhile, CCPO Lahore also reached the hospital along with other officials. He told that Asgher Nadeem Syed is out of danger now, however investigations of the incident will reveal its nature.
Doctors treating Syed told that he received 2 bullets, one in back and the other in his arm, while he will be discharged from the hospital after 2 days.
Moreover, Nawab Town police also registered a case against unknown attackers.
