The incident occurred near Risalpur area, when two speeding bus collided with each other. A preceding car also caught in between them. Resultantly seven people died on the spot including three women who were aboard the car.
The two passenger coaches were heading from Karachi to Peshawar and Peshawar to Karachi, respectively.
Thirty people who sustained injuries were shifted to Jampur Hospital. Those in serious condition were moved to Dera Ismail Khan. Rescue sources said four people were still in a critical condition.
