According to details, as many as 48 passengers were part of the passenger coach which collided with an oil tanker. As many as 7 people were killed and 10 were injured during the accident. The passenger coach was traveling from Lahore to Alipur when it met with the unfortunate accident.
Efforts were being made to pull out the dead bodies from the scene of the accident. Rescue 1122 teams have departed from Muzaffargarh. A couple of critically injured people have been shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Among the five dead, four have been identified.
