VEHARI: At least 3 lady teachers were killed, while 5 people were injured after a school van collided with Fareed Express here on Wednesday – ARY News reports.
According to details, the ill-fated van intercepted Fareed Express at Danewal railway crossing which had no gates. As a consequence 2 female teachers were killed on the spot while 6 others were injured including the driver.
The van was carrying female teachers from different villages, who were on their way back home after completing duties at respective schools.
Rescue 1122 teams immediately rushed to the site and shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital, where another teacher succumbed to her injuries.
Moreover, 2 injured were referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan due to critical condition of both.
