Rangers’ spokesperson, sharing the details of the operation from September 4, 2013 to December 2, 2014, said 4,000 raids were conducted during the stated period. “At least 18 soldiers embraced martyrdom in the line of duty during Karachi operation.”
In Karachi, 7,618 suspects were arrested and 3,400 of them were handed over to police after investigation. Besides, 178 target killers, 230 extortionists and 35 kidnappers were nabbed.
During the operations, the spokesperson said 6146 weapons of different caliber were seized during raids. While as many as 0.3 million bullets were also recovered.
