20 injured in Qasba Colony grenade attacks

KARACHI: A series of blasts injured at least 20 people as attackers hurled four grenades in Qasba Colony of Karachi on Wednesday night, ARY News reported. 

The house of a local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Mohammad Ali was said to be target of attacks. 

The injured persons were transferred to Abbasi Shaheed and a nearby hospital. Three of the injured said to be in a precarious condition, hospital sources said. 

Four explosions, in a series, shook Mohammadpur neighbourhood of Qasba Colony. Fear and panic gripped the area after the blasts.

Later, police and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) arrived in the area, which is declared as highly sensitive.

The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area for probe of the attack.
