KARACHI: At least 18 people on Monday sustained gunshot wounds due to aerial firing in various parts of Karachi to mark the New Year 2019.
According to police, the injured, including two women and a minor girl were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Details relayed that people resorted to aerial firing in Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Lyari, Cantt Station, Old Sabzi Mandi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Garden, FB Area, Airport, North Karachi, Tariq Road and other areas of the city.
It is pertinent to mention that the Sindh government imposed a ban on aerial firing, firecrackers, and display of weapons to prevent any untoward incident in the city.
